I first tried yoga at school. Back then, the quiet, slow-moving meditative class did not appeal to my busy life as a teenager. Quite simply, it was boring.
Fast forward a few years, I found myself in a London job that allowed no time for mental or physical wellbeing. Stressed and rundown, I decided to give yoga another go and unknowingly signed up to a Vinyasa Flow class instead of a Restorative one. Oh my! After the sincere realisation that I had no core muscles to speak of, I came to understand that there was more to yoga than I thought. This was a sequenced movement that brought mind, body and breath together. Perfect.
Since then, I've explored many styles of yoga and ways of teaching. Vinyasa Flow is the style I feel most connected to as it allows for the individual creativity of the teacher. In 2018, I took my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga London.
